Alvarion noted that the new state-of-the-art network would allow Barrett to expand its rural broadband offerings into new service areas while allowing additional service options to existing customers.

Barrett's planned 4G wireless network will provide services across Canada's vast geography. Initially, services will focus on high-speed data with expansion to include VoIP and other services in the future, Alvarion stated.
