Apptix Introduces Platform to Host Apps in the Cloud
Apptix, the global leader in Hosted Unified Communications services including Microsoft Exchange email, Office Communicator Server, business VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), and Microsoft SharePoint, announced today that it has launched a new platform to provision and deliver hosted applications.
The platform enables Apptix to host a variety of applications in the cloud and provide clients seamless access across a range of Web browsers on PCs, Macs, kiosks, or browser-enabled mobile devices just as Windows Phones, Androids, iPhones, or Blackberries. This is a secure and efficient alternative way to host software applications, giving users access to them anytime, anywhere, from near any device connected to the Internet. A user can even leave applications open and resume working on them from a different device.
The largest provider of cloud-based email
In addition to being the largest provider of cloud-based email and collaboration tools, Apptix offers its 300,000 clients access to hosted cloud-based business applications with Apptix’s launch of the fully capable Office Suite, Visio, and Project. With Apptix’s capabilities, enhanced office and business-critical files can be securely saved in the cloud should the contingency arise to traditional methods, providing greater flexibility and assurance that applications are up-to-date and files are backed up.
