
Armenian government to use Unicode fonts
Yerevan hosted regular UITE-organized annual DigiTec Business forum, aiming at introduction of information technologies in different sectors of economy, presenting business oriented products and services. The event brought together 40 local and Southeast European companies. DigiTec Business exhibit, E-Fin electronic finance conference, seminars and round table discussions were organized under the sponsorship of Apaga Technologies, Cyberoam representative in Armenia.
COMSTAR-UTS company, which is in MTS group of companies, announced the launch of process of offering COMSTAR’s products and services under MTS brand. There will be two brands – MTS and MGTS – at the Russian telecommunications market within MTS group of companies (which is comprised of MTS, COMSTAR-UTS and MGTS) by the end of 2011. Thus, COMSTAR-UTS brands will be gradually replaced by MTS brand in Moscow and regions, COMSTAR-UTS reported. Since 2006, the interests of COMSTAR-UTS company have been represented in Armenia by Cornet-AM company, which provides broadband Internet access, data transfer and corporate networking services based on both fixed and wireless telecom technologies, the WiMAX wireless access technology as well as digital local and long-range communication services. MTS OJSC is the owner of 80% shares of VivaCell-MTS cellular operator in Armenia.
