The exhibition will offer the ideal opportunity for attendees to experience the innovative Ascom i62 handset, the world's first to support the latest 802.11n networking standard.

The new Ascom i62 combines VoWiFi

The new Ascom i62 combines VoWiFi, messaging and alarms into one solution for enterprise businesses using the WiFi technology. With VoWiFi, only one network needs to be installed and maintained for all applications running, such as Internet access, e-mail, voice and other business-related applications.

The new Ascom i62 VoWiFi handset replaces the previous model, the Ascom i75 and offers a new sleek design, high-resolution colour TFT display, is IP44 classified, offers a longer battery time, as well as a range of other upgrades. As with all Ascom handsets, it can be managed over-the-air (OTA) and is tested to interoperate within a WiFi network. The design is built upon Ascom's long experience in offering state-of-the-art, purpose-built handsets, along with wireless voice and message transmission systems and customized alarm and positioning applications for mission critical communications.

Ascom will also showcase their teleCARE IP solution, a system already established in hospitals and care homes around the world and which they have added VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol).
