Brennan IT launches New Zealand PoP
Brennan IT has launched a network point of presence in New Zealand making it one of only a few to provide managed data and cloud services to organisations on both sides of the Tasman.
Private network
"In partnership with Telecom New Zealand we can route traffic from anywhere in New Zealand right throughout Australia on a private network," Brennan IT managing director Dave Stevens said.
Stevens said that, earlier, Brennan’s clients with trans-Tasman operations had no other option however to connect via "an internet-style termination".
The network
Brennan IT said the network would be faster, more reliable and secure for clients as so then as more convenient because bills were in Australian dollars on one account.
Brennan IT expected the network to help New Zealand businesses expand into Australia during making it easier for staff travelling between the two countries to access data and conduct region-wide upgrades.
"We're able to offer a rich layer of managed services from videoconferencing to VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) to cloud computing right throughout New Zealand now: there's nothing stopping us from offering those services," Stevens said.
