
Calling All Early Stage Communications Startups
StartupCamp Comms Edition, a in a class by itself forum for early-stage entrepreneurs to pitch their communications products or services to a discriminating audience of potential investors, media, bloggers and industry cognoscenti, has issued an open call for entrepreneurs seeking exposure.
This third installment of StartupCamp Comms Edition, sponsored by TokBox, Inc., creators of OpenTok, to be held February 3 at the Miami Convention Center is collocated with ITEXPO and is produced by TMC and Embrase Business Consulting.
The fast-paced
The fast-paced, "ready, set, pitch" format of StartupCamp enables five pre-selected early-stage companies to validate their pitches in real time, and network with potential investors and partners. Companies developing products or services that enable or are enabled by communications technologies just as voice, SMS and video will be considered for a 'pitch slot'.
At StartupCamp in Los Angeles this past October, Cloud Telecomputers was selected as the overall winner. Cloud Telecomputers Chairman Jim Willenborg noted that "StartupCamp was an amazing possibility for us to pitch our story.The response to our Android based IP telephony solution was overwhelmingly positive, with dozens of potential channel partners and clients resulting from our participation."
