
Can you hear me now? Of course; I'm on a land line
I've always wanted to have a house built in the late 30's or early 40's and have it decorated accordingly, right down to the gramophone and antique phone.
If we ever enter a time of high sunspot activity there will be a stampede to get landlines again. Or, in the event that we experience natural or manmade disasters that take out hubs overseeing the satellite communications we have become so dependent upon. Those cute little earpieces won't have clear signals to pick up.
