
Canadian executives suffer from 'cloud confusion'
According to an online survey of 525 executives conducted over September and October by Leger Marketing on behalf of CA Technologies Canada and released last week, 62% of executives admit to being confused by the concept of cloud computing and even 23% of respondents classified as "I.T. executives" felt the same. During 64% said they considered cloud computing to be important to their company's future success, 33% believe Canada is lagging behind other developed countries when it comes to adopting cloud computing.
"During we may currently lag behind other countries, there are mounting efforts to position Canada as the ideal home for cloud computing," said Michael Geist, a law professor at the University of Ottawa and noted cloud computing enthusiast. "Canada is then positioned to become a cloud computing leader."
