
Cedar Point in Poland
Cedar Point Communications (News - Alert), a supplier of VoIP switching technologies for service providers, has reached an agreement with Multimedia Polska covering the deployment of Cedar Point’s multimedia switching system. This will be used to provide SIP-based voice services to the Polish cable operator’s current and new customers. In addition, the operator will be able to leverage core capabilities of the system to expedite the evolution to PacketCable 2.0/IMS services.
The agreement
Under terms of the agreement, Multimedia Polska will be migrating their existing TDM and VoIP subscribers from existing platforms, the goal being to simplify service delivery, optimize operational cost and provide reliable IMS and PacketCable 2.0 based services for residential and business customers on a single infrastructure.
