Fronde became Google's first New Zealand preferred enterprise partner in 2008, later winning a landmark $1 million deal to convert 2000 NZ Post staff to Google Apps – online productivity software that rivals Microsoft business software suites.

WaveAdept has three staff and about 50 clients including baby buggy maker Phil & Teds and Christchurch research firm Tait Electronics.
Researcher IDC said cloud computing in Asia-Pacific, excluding Japan, would grow 40 per cent annually to 2014. That market was worth $1.3 billion in 2010.
"We've heard that businesses in New Zealand and Australia have been slower to embrace cloud computing. However from what we've seen, companies in this market are aggressively looking to replace on-premise email and collaboration products with cloud-native platforms."
