
Colba.Net Chooses Zhone Technologies' MXK Platform
Zhone Technologies, Inc., a global pioneer in FTTx network access solutions, today announced Colba.Net Telecom Inc., one of the largest internet service providers in Quebec, has started the deployment of Zhone's MXK⢠multi-service access node system through its subsidiary Colba.Net Inc. to enable Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line and Ethernet in the First Mile services for local residences and businesses.
Colba.Net is offering affordable and reliable VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) and high speed ADSL2+ Internet access services with up to 24 Mbps connectivity to its roughly 400,000 clients in Montreal. By utilizing Zhone's market-leading MXK access concentrator, Colba.Net has been able to increase bandwidth and reach, lower service delivery cost and provide advanced services to its clients.
