Comm Bank opens a Facebook vault
Launching on November 21, 2011, each day for ten business days a question relating to a certain decade of Commonwealth Bank's 100-year history will be asked. Players will at the time be sent on a 'treasure hunt' style quest to collect information, clues or codes so they may answer each question correctly and unlock the secrets of Commonwealth Bank's history. Sources of answers range from the Bank's dedicated Centenary microsite, to other online destinations and even the Bank's network of 1,000 branches. Players have just 23 hours to source and input the correct answers earlier that day's question closes and a winner is randomly selected. The ten winners will receive a prize of AU$2,000 each. Commonwealth Bank Chief Marketing & Online Officer, Andy Lark, shares the rationale behind creating The Time Vault: "Commonwealth Bank has been a pioneer in banking innovation since our inception one hundred years ago and we continue to lead in the digital space, with social media being a vital part of this. We wanted to create a fun, interactive and rewarding game to profile our Centenary for our 70,000 strong Facebook community, so created The Time Vault. The Time Vault will open at 12:00pm AEDT on November 21, 2011 and will close at 11:00am AEDT on December 3, 2011. A Commonwealth Bank representative will notify winners within 24 hours of their correctly answered question closing. To be eligible for The Time Vault, players must 'Like' the competition tab.
