
CommBank's Sydney staff to get MacBooks this year
Staff were expected to continue using Microsoft’s Windows operating system so there would be no need for them to get used to new software.
Untethered devices would connect to a building-wide wireless LAN, and staff would use VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) ‘softphones’ and Microsoft Office Communicator to make and receive calls via a headset.
The âSmartâ board into whiteboard mode
"You can as well put the ‘Smart’ board into whiteboard mode, and make pages of notes with the electronic pens – again everything can be saved to your normal network folders."
CBA’s decision to procure MacBook Air laptops as well came as a surprise to the analyst, who noted that Apple had traditionally struggled to provide enterprise-level support.
