Beth Dunn of HubSpot will focus on creating a meaningful business strategy. Topics include defining business objectives, finding the audience you want to reach and planning for changes in your relationship with participating clients.
The Falmouth Chamber of Commerce will hold a networking meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. March 17 at The Black Dog General Store, 214 Main St., Falmouth.
The Community Development Partnership will hold a workshop on merging business marketing opportunities with environmentally sustainable business practices from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 18 at the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.
The CDP's newest initiative is an effort to combine good business practices with environmental initiatives. The CDC has a partnership with Cape & Islands Green, Cape Light Compact and Cape & Islands Self Reliance Corp. to provide economic, social and environmental awareness. For a program fee of $150 an estimated $4,000 worth of marketing opportunities are provided through the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce.
The session will provide information for residents interested in sharing their homes with one or more J-1 international college students working for local Chamber of Commerce member businesses in Brewster, Chatham, Eastham, Harwich and Orleans. It will include the experiences of prior hosts.
The Sandwich Chamber of Commerce will hold a networking meeting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 22 at Momo's Food Emporium, 598 Route 6A, East Sandwich.

Paul Garganigo of Seamen's Bank will offer insight into market conditions and how the seasonal Cape economy affects the lending process.
Topics include and overview of cloud computing and its risks and benefits. Peter Karlson of NeuEon will discuss the trend of organizations shifting research needs from internal data centers out to systems and servers that are hosted by third parties.
The state and federal governments have put laws in place to enable creative business models that put solar energy equipment where it does the most good. One model being developed on Cape Cod is the Community Solar Garden, a cooperative approach to share the costs and benefits of solar.
The workshop will give information about modernizing your business computer, and will include live demonstrations of Microsoft Office 2010 and Windows 7.
