Conexant's Embedded Audio Solution Chosen by VXi Corporation for USB Headset Adapter

(NASDAQ: CNXT), a leading supplier of innovative semiconductor solutions for imaging, audio, embedded modem, and video surveillance applications, today announced that its award-winning CX20562 speakers-on-a-chip audio solution was selected by VXi Corporation, a leading provider of best-in-class headset solutions, for a new USB headset adapter. VXi's X200 adapter is targeted at computer-based voice communications applications that require high-quality voice and audio including Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC), VoIP telephony, and speech recognition. The adapter is available now from VXi's global network of distributors and resellers.

The CX20562 integrates key speaker technology

The CX20562 integrates key speaker technology and processing functionality into a single device, and is targeted at products tha support high-definition audio and voice applications. The device is USB Audio Class Compliant and supports basic audio interfaces including auxiliary input, headphone jack, internal microphone input, digital/analog volume control, speaker mute, and microphone mute.
