
Dell plans to build data centre in Australia
MICHAEL Dell has flagged plans to build a data centre in Australia to cater to burgeoning demand from cloud computing clients.
"We're truly seeing the move away from smaller distributed data centres to larger, more efficient ones multi-tenant type capabilities," Mr Dell said. "We've created the innovation infrastructure to allow that, so highly efficient capabilities like our modular data centre a seven or eight to one improvement in performance and density as compared with a more traditional approach.
