Dialogic Enhances Enterprise FoIP With OpenText
Dialogic Inc. today announced it has teamed up with OpenText to validate a joint FoIP solution, consisting of Dialogic® Brooktrout® SR140 Fax Software and OpenText's RightFax solution, across multiple SIP trunking providers' networks. Through its use of the T.38 fax protocol, the solution is able to achieve the interoperability and reliability to deliver secure, consistent and cost-effective FoIP services for enterprises and hosted service providers.
FoIP is rapidly being adopted to deliver a range of new operational efficiencies in the datacenter and across managed corporate networks in the healthcare, finance and insurance industries. Though SIP-based VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is a robust innovation driving SIP Trunking adoption to displace the PSTN for business voice traffic, using it to carry FoIP brings about additional network requirements. Via this solution and others, Dialogic and OpenText are addressing these network requirements and ultimately improving FoIP service for clients.
"Delivering document management solutions that are both innovative and efficient is at the heart of our business, and as the FoIP market continues to grow, it is increasingly important that we help both our clients and channel partners enhance their competitive edge," said Matthew Brine, Vice President, Fax and Document Distribution at OpenText. "By working with Dialogic, we are able to do just that. With this validation, we can be confident that when a customer or partner goes to deploy our solution, it will be effective and efficient -- benefitting their overall operations."
"Fax traffic continues to significantly consume public network services. By working closely with OpenText, we are able to validate FoIP on various SIP Trunking provider networks such that our mutual clients can benefit from this emerging IP carrier service," said Franz-Josef Eberle, Vice President and General Manager, VAS and Cloud Enabling Unit of Dialogic. "OpenText has been and continues to be a stellar Dialogic partner, and we look forward to continuing our strong collaboration hereafter."
