
Digerati creates new executive-level engineering position
San Antonio-based Digerati, formerly ATSI Communications, created a new senior vice president of engineering position to augment the company's growth into the cloud business. He before managed DoubleHorn Communications' VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) platform as vice president of engineering and network operations.

"Ken is a then-respected and experienced technologist with extensive experience in cloud telephony that includes patent development for VoIP switching applications," says Digerati President and CEO Arthur L. Smith. "His skills and experience are perfectly matched with our strategic initiative to accelerate our business plan and grow our cloud-based service earnings."
Digerati's cloud-based businesses include a fully hosted IP/PBX (Private -Automatic- Branch Exchange), VoIP transport, SIP trunking, data storage and customized VoIP technologies. These technologies allow telephone carriers to connect telephone calls between the United States and Latin America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
