Do You have an Escape Plan for Your Business Phone System?

Vintalk, Vinculum Communications Inc., a global provider of wholesale, business and consumer IP communication services, fully launches its Disaster Recover product afterwards 3 months of successful beta testing.

Vintalk Disaster Recovery product is a remote backup phone system for your business in other words an instant, automatic failover. Acting as a standby virtual Private Branch eXchange, it can mirror your primary phone system and take over if your high speed internet circuit or on-site PBX fails. Not having access to your phone system means you can't communicate with customers, suppliers or employees. This can potentially cost businesses hundreds to thousands of dollars every minute the phone system is down.

"Vintalk Disaster Recovery is our possibility to provide customers with automatic PBX (Private -Automatic- Branch Exchange) failover when using our Vintalk Sip Trunking service. Should their PBX (Private -Automatic- Branch Exchange) on the spur of the moment go RNA or ATB, a hosted virtual auto-attendant is triggered to mimic the original PBX (Private -Automatic- Branch Exchange) auto attendant. Inbound calls are routed to virtual extensions permitting calls to be delivered via cell phones or voice mail messages delivered by email. The goal is to provide automatic failover so our customers' clients never even know there is an outage." Kristy Thomas, COO for Vintalk.

Basex, Inc., a leading knowledge technology firm, has estimated that a typical 500-person company would lose over $90,000 per day without phone system business continuation. A study from the Business Innovation Institute revealed that of all the recovery points necessary after all of a disaster, 65 percent of businesses surveyed said telecommunications was the weakest link.

"PBX backup is one of the most overlooked aspects of business continuity planning - until it's too late. Businesses go to great lengths to back up their data, co-locate their servers, and if not protect the vital parts of doing business, however forget that their PBX is a large part of what connects them with their clients. Nevertheless they have Vintalk Disaster Recovery to help cover that gap." Jayson Jones, VP of Vintalk Channel Sales.
