Facebook Messenger
This new app is called Facebook Messenger and it allows you to talk to your Facebook friends for free on Facebook. Something like this was lacking, and this small app developed by Crisp App is welcome, now there is only a small group of people to welcome it - only those working on Mac and iOS. This app works only on a Mac computer, an iPhone, and iPod Touch and an iPad that runs iOS version 3.1.2 or later. A version for Windows is much awaited.
User-friendly interface
Among many side features like a user-friendly interface, chat sessions management, multi-tasking support, photo handling etc., the app allows you to make free VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) calls to any other person on Facebook that uses the same app. With this, you could convert your Facebook profile into a phone. Now the limitations are quite considerable - you won't be using it to voice chat with friends using Windows or anything other than iOS 3.1.2, and your calls will remain in the realm of Facebook; no calls to landline mobile phones. Better than nothing, and a step into an avenue to explore. It costs $3 and can be downloaded from there.
