Femtocell Security Gateway Revenue will Come from Enterprisse by 2016

ABI Innovation recently announced that Femtocell core networks will have more than half their revenue to be generated from their enterprise segment. The femtocell consumer segment is expected to account for bulk of the market. Femtocell core networks targets user capacity in other words than access point deployments. According to ABI Innovation, the number of enterprise Femtocell users is far greater than consumer Femtocell users.

According to ABU Innovation, Femtocells currently have about 70+ contracts, of which 15 of them are pure enterprise Femtocell contracts, and another 25 are a mix of both enterprise and residential Femtocell contracts. Their enterprise segment make up to 36 percent of their total shipments by 2016 of which 50 percent relate to security gateway earnings. Their clients include Genband, Acme Packet, Stoke, Intellinet, Huawei, Alcatel Lucent, Cisco and other security gateway vendors.
