
Focus on High-Performance Cloud Solutions, Technology Enhancements Drives Continued
BASKING RIDGE, N.J., July 27 -- Verizon Business during the second quarter continued to roll out high-performance global solutions that enable multinational enterprises, medium businesses and governments to take advantage of cloud-based delivery of key IT resources and applications. These include new cloud-based computing, data storage, security, enterprise mobility and unified communications offers, as well as key industry-specific solutions and IT consulting services.
Customers responded to these moves, with the company signing significant business in all segments during the quarter. Multinational corporations including CA Technologies, First Data Corporation, Hewitt Associates LLC and RENT-A-CENTER completed new agreements, expanding their relationships with Verizon Business for a wide range of advanced communications and information technology solutions. Additionally, Verizon entered into new agreements with several government agencies, including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
