Good Morning, Buffalo
The IRS is showing mercy on us drivers in this season of high gasoline prices. Beginning today, it's raising its standard mileage rate for businesses to 55.5 cents per mile, a 4.5 cents per mile increase from the 51 cents per mile rate as a matter of fact since Jan. 1. The IRS on the whole updates the rate only once a year.
Coca-Cola Field will turn pink tonight as the Bisons hold a special program to support the fight against breast cancer. All breast cancer survivors can get a free ticket in advance by calling 846-2040 or e-mailing lcarucci@bisons.com. All fans who wear pink will get a raffle ticket for drawings throughout the game for prizes that include seven Vera Bradley tote bags. There's as well the fridaynightbash party at 5 p.m. on the plaza beyond center field, with live music, food and drink specials. At 7:35 p.m., the Herd tries to make it three wins in a row over the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. And afterwards the game -- fireworks!
