Google Voice Teams Up With Sprint
Sprint has around 50 million subscribers in the US. During the first telecom provider AT&T partners with Apple and its iPhone in the battle for a place in the non-telco communication era, Sprint teams up with Google Voice and integrates it with its service.
Sprint clients will now be able to use their Sprint numbers as their Google Voice numbers, without going through the hassle of number porting, which entails a cost and some bureaucracy. With the Sprint number, multiple phones can be rung, and calls can even be answered through GMail. Users can as well use their Google Voice numbers instead of the Sprint numbers. Several more possibilities open up with this partnership. Read more on the GV blog and watch a video too.
