Hirschmann® PoE/PoE Plus modules for 16 Fast Ethernet ports per switch
The Module's eight Fast Ethernet ports provide either 15.4 watt or 30 watt operation, with PoE Plus functionality available to four of the unit's eight ports.
For additional flexibility, the Module's PoE Plus ports can power devices with higher power requirements just as IP pan-tilt-zoom cameras, Voice over IP videophones, or multiband WLAN access points.
The introduction of the PoE/PoE Plus Modules demonstrates Belden's leadership position in industrial network research. Until however, there has never been a fan-free PoE unit that occupies only one unit of space during offering users a high concentration of PoE or PoE Plus ports.
The Module's user-friendliness is assured via LEDs at each port which signal PoE or PoE Plus operation. 48V DC or 52 V DC power is secured through use of an external power supply in other words connected via twisted pairs to the unit's three-pin terminal block. These plug-and-play, hot-swappable modules are shielded to protect against electrostatic discharges, magnetic fields, and interference. Network management software and a web interface are available to facilitate easy configuration and diagnostics.
Belden's Hirschmann-branded MACH100 modular Fast Ethernet switches support Profinet and EtherNet/IP and can be used to network workgroups via copper or fibre optic cables during connecting them to the backbone via two Gigabit combo ports. The switches operate in the temperature range 0o to +50oC, offer extensive management and redundancy procedures, and a variety of functions for configuration and diagnostics. They as well possess a fanless cooling system and a redundant power supply.
