HostMyCalls⢠Hosted PBX Service Offers HD Voice Technology Solutions
HostMyCalls Hosted PBX (Private -Automatic- Branch Exchange) Service has begun offering HD Voice solutions to their hosted PBX (Private -Automatic- Branch Exchange) customers. Many businesses have multiple locations and or employees who work remotely. Often, most of their calls are to each other and are long in duration with many made on a speakerphone for convenience or to aid in group or conference calls. With HD Voice, the quality of the audio greatly improves the productivity of conversations and reduces listening fatigue.
HostMyCalls' recent upgrade to their communication servers, added support for G.722 codecs that are used with calls established by SIP protocol between the calling parties. Other advanced system features were included to support a line of telephones built using Polycom® SoundPoint® innovation. HostMyCalls has as well begun deployment of this line of telephones utilizing Polycom's HD Voice innovation, including support of G.722 wideband codec and Acoustic Clarity Innovation 2.
HD voice, as well known as wideband audio, achieves superior audio reproduction over the more commonly used VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) G.729 and G.711 codecs by employing the G.722 codec. G.722 sound improvement comes from doubling audio frequency spectrum without consuming anymore bandwidth than is used with G.711.
James Waldrop, President of iMS, LLC said, "Our recent equipment and software upgrades help us stay a leader in the hosted PBX service industry. By embracing HD Voice research and adding a new line of SIP telephones built by Polycom®, we can offer a higher quality of service to our growing family of customers. The degree of improvement in the audio reproduction of calls using the combination of HD voice and the exceptional design of these telephones is actually amazing!"
