HTC Customer Support Confirms Thunderbolt Gingerbread Update

An email received by a customer regarding the availability of an update to fix long-standing reboot issues has confirmed that HTC plans to roll out an update to fix the issue as then as update the device to Android Gingerbread:

The update to Android Gingerbread was before confirmed previously in the month via screencaps of Verizon internal documentation, even though the update was at first meant to be shipped as a basic maintenance release with the reboot fix which was subsequently leaked and made available.
