
Hughes Expands HN Family with Carrier-Grade Broadband Satellite Hub
Hughes Network Systems, a provider of broadband satellite solutions and services, has launched a new carrier-grade hub configuration, "HN NOCXT," optimized for medium- to large-scale networks among enterprises and service providers.

Hughes HN system is the most advanced and widely deployed satellite networking infrastructure in the marketplace, according to company officials. Currently the system is operational in five continents and supports over 1 million broadband terminal sites.
"As our latest generation hub configuration, the HN NOCXT comes packed with high capacity and advanced features from a single rack, making the roll-out of large-scale satellite broadband networks very cost-effective," Feierbach said.
The HN NOCXT is suitable for a wide range of services including Broadband Internet access, Private IP networking for corporate intranets, Public services including telephony, Internet kiosk, education & government High availability networking, Multicast data delivery, Multimedia applications including MPEG4 video, and VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) services.
HN NOCXT as well operates with the latest generation of HN broadband satellite terminals, including the powerful HN9200 and HN9400.

The solution is available in a compact and efficient single-rack package in other words highly modular and scalable. It enables rapid provision of any mix of satellite broadband services from a single, comprehensive platform.
Recently Hughes Network Systems announced the availability of Hughes Emergency Solutions to help businesses and government agencies better prepare for 2011 hurricane season in wake of the tornadoes the country has experienced this spring.
