ICAP Ocean Tomo Offers for Sale Real-Time Bandwidth Optimization, Mobile Call Routing

Technology of two of the portfolios, real-time bandwidth optimization and mobile call routing, relate to VoIP. The real-time bandwidth optimization system provides a means for adapting the bandwidth requirement of a real-time voice communication to the available bandwidth of the underlying VoIP network through the use of a real-time bandwidth monitor (RTBM). The RTBM constantly monitors end-to-end available bandwidth so the transmission of a voice communication can occur at a transmission rate providing the best service. The assets of the mobile call routing portfolio allow wireless users to make long distance calls via the Internet.

The technology of the client server binding portfolio provides systems and methods for maintaining the binding of a client, particularly a client with limited computational and storage resources, with at least one server. The patented technology permits a client running on an Internet application to dynamically bind with at least one server without using the traditional, time consuming Internet Distributed Name Service.  We are very excited to be working with ICAP Ocean Tomo and believe their expertise will be extremely helpful in the monetization of these portfolios, said Chris Miltenberger, President of Geos Communications.

These portfolios should be of significant interest to wireless and VoIP providers, telecommunication companies, competitive local exchange carriers, internet network management companies, and managers of internet client server applications, said Dean Becker, ICAP Ocean Tomo CEO.
