India wants to snoop on everyone
Not happy with banning Chinese telecom equipment, the Indian government has gotten worried about Blackberry smartphones, Skype VoIP and chat services and Google's Gmail and Gchat.
Little worried about data services being offered
Indian authorities are also a little worried about data services being offered by Tata Teleservices and Reliance Communications as security agencies are not able to snoop on them either.
It is not the first time that the Indian government has had a beef with RIM, the company behind Blackberry smartphones. RIM was talking about pulling its technology from India but the idea was shoved on the backburner.
