Infonetics Research Releases EMEA Business VoIP Services Leadership Scorecard

The latest EMEA Business VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) Services Leadership Scorecard from Infonetics Technology rates BT, TDC, Vodafone as the top hosted business VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service providers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The EMEA Business VoIP Services Leadership Scorecard analyzes and ranks the top service providers in the IP Centrex market in EMEA. The top EMEA IP Centrex service providers overall are in no particular order."In all parts of EMEA, including Africa and the Middle East, we continue to see strong deployments of IP Centrex services," said Diane Myers, directing analyst for VoIP and IMS at Infonetics Technology, in a statement. "In evaluating the top 10 IP Centrex providers across the region, little has changed in the mix of our list of leaders from 2010."

The technology agency finds that all however three of business VoIP service providers in the top 10 are incumbent operators. This, according to researchers, reflects the EMEA landscape, where most providers compete nationally to put it more exactly than regionally.

Service providers ranked in the EMEA Business VoIP Services Leadership Scorecard include Bezeq, BT, Orange, Netia, SFR, TDC, Telefonica O2, Telekom Slovenia, T-Systems, and Vodafone.

Another trend identified in the IP Centrex market is the growth of mobility as a critical capability as businesses try to bring flexibility and integration of services into a single mobile device. Those business VoIP service providers that are focused on fixed-mobile convergence capabilities are true stand-outs, according to Myers.The top 10 providers in the IP Centrex market compete with each other very closely. As well there is a growing list of business VoIP service providers close behind the top 10 across Western and Eastern Europe and Africa, signaling continuing strength in IP Centrex across the region, the innovation said.

In EMEA, business VoIP service deployments are coming from competitive operators, mobile operators, and incumbents. During in North America only a few providers have broken the 100,000-seat mark, the top providers in EMEA are all close to or exceed 100,000 IP Centrex seats.
