
Inovisi Infracom Acquires Abundant Global, an Oil & Gas Infrastructure Firm for $40 million
Inovisi wants to increase its infrastructure presence out of telecommunication industries, and Abundant Global is a global Oil & Gas B2B e-commerce infrastructure company. Part of the deal includes Inovisi handing over the running of its Oil & Gas infrastructure technologies to Abundant Global, meaning Abundant Global will run Inovisi Oil & Gas B2B e-commerce infrastructure division.
The Inovisi-Abundant Global deal is now the largest investment by an Indonesian company to break into global Oil & Gas B2B market, which includes shipping, logistic & storage business. Indonesia is an estimated 260 million population market (1/6 of China), the largest population country in South East Asia. B2B e-commerce market is expected to grow exponentially following China precedence.
$1 billion e-commerce giant out of Inovisi
This creates a $1 billion e-commerce giant out of Inovisi, which will compete indirectly with Alibaba.com, Trade Media Holdings Ltd's Globalsources.com, and Google over the Global B2B e-commerce Internet market.
The total transaction value for China's e-commerce industry in the first half of 2010 was RMB 2,250 billion ($332.6 billion), of which 91 percent consisted of the business-to-business (B2B) sector with the remainder made up of the business-to-consumer (B2C) and consumer-to-consumer (C2C) sectors, according to China e-Business Research Center (CBRC) on Aug. 9, 2010.
