DeutschlandLAN: bundling of fixed network, mobile and data communications with IT elements in a full package for connected work
At CeBIT 2011, Telekom is presenting its top solutions for companies for all facets of connected work. Whether telephone or Internet communications, the IT work station or integrating field employees in enterprise information flows: Telekom supports its business clients with pioneering products. The solutions have a modular structure and can be easily and flexibly supplemented and extended. Offerings range from conventional fixed network and cellular services to integrated fixed/cellular solutions and even live conferencing services. IT services from the Internet, just as Software as a Service and Infrastructure as a Service, are playing an increasingly important role. To boot, Telekom is constantly optimising its price structure, for instance with new options for mobile data transmission at speeds of over 20 Mbit/s and soon furthermore than 40 Mbit/s.
Key offer for connected work is DeutschlandLAN
A key offer for connected work is DeutschlandLAN, the Internet-based solution for integrated business communications at the office and on the road. DeutschlandLAN is an integrated product for connected work from Telekom that consistently combines fixed network, mobile and data communications, connection services, IT elements, applications and user devices in one complete package for business clients with just one bill. A standardised user interface on all devices acts as a communications centre to integrate all communications channels just as telephony, email, SMS and instant messaging for your connected work. A fixed monthly fee that covers a wide range of included services gives companies optimum cost control. The virtual PABX is hosted and managed at Telekom's data centre, saving clients from sunk investments in their own equipment. Clients can keep their existing phone numbers and migrate them to the network. SMEs throughout Germany are already benefiting from this integrated package.
DeutschlandIT Services positions Telekom as a leading SME partner for custom-tailored IT solutions. The offering enables SMEs to upgrade their IT infrastructure, flexibly adapting it to meet their changing business needs and make optimum use of their IT resources, for instance by outsourcing individual elements. DeutschlandIT Services significantly reduces costs and coordination effort for the customer. Telekom provides all the desired services as the first point of contact and from a single source. The Managed Mail Services hosting packages are already available as the first components of these new services, along with the cloud-based services Managed Dynamic Server and Managed Dedicated Server. High availability on site and housing services will round off the DeutschlandIT Services for SMEs starting in mid-2011.
Telekom is as well taking major steps to enhance and optimise its offerings for live conferencing. The Group is presenting new features for its innovative TelePresence service at CeBIT, which will make the service package furthermore flexible and convenient to use for business clients. The new features include not only an expanded range of terminals and interoperability between Cisco and Tandberg systems, however also the option of integrating international locations in conferencing services, connections to videoconferencing systems from other carriers both in Germany and abroad, and an electronic booking service for the public TelePresence locations in Germany. This end-to-end service package lets clients hold on-screen meetings through TelePresence, without requiring high investments or expertise at the various locations - and all in unparalleled transmission, video and audio quality.
Although Telekom just introduced a new mobile communications rate portfolio for business clients in February 2011, we are continuing to optimise our prices and rates. Just in case to the limited promotion offers for the new Business Complete Mobil M, L and XL rates, two new data-only rates will shortly be available, offering unlimited mobile surfing at up to 21.6 or even 42.2 Mbit/s. Telekom is as well expanding its portfolio for international mobile surfing and emailing. With the two Smart Traveller daily options DayPass Europe S and L, clients can achieve significant cost savings on data roaming.
