
Internet Association seeks CEO after appointee's change of heart
The Internet Industry Association is back in the hunt for a new CEO afterwards its chosen successor to Peter Coroneos, Steve Burrell, decided not to take the job.
The organisation anticipates being able to replace Burrell from the ranks of the as well-rans from the selection process that lead to his appointment. Chairman Bruce Linn said that, because of the high number of quality applications received while the recruitment process, it was anticipated that the senior executive position would be filled in the nearly future. "Meanwhile the IIA will continue the momentum of being the voice of Internet based industries," he said.
"We will continue to work closely with Government to develop robust policies covering areas just as cyber-safety, and making the Internet a place where both consumers and businesses can conduct transactions with confidence."
