
Internet Initiative Japan Q1 Profit Soars; Revenue Up 47.7%
Internet Initiative Japan Inc. reported first quarter net income attributable to IIJ of JPY 512.27 million or $6.35 million, up 107.4% from JPY 246.96 million in the prior year.
Operating income was JPY914.57 million or $11.34 million, up 244.2% from JPY 265.68 million last year, was due to IIJ-Global, increase in gross margin for our network service and the decrease in operating loss related to the ATM operation business.
The company said that it expects its outsourcing services and cloud computing-related services to grow steadily for the coming quarters. For 2011, the company target its cloud computing service to earn over JPY3 billion in earnings.
