ISP blasts BT's 21CN network
"It is quite clear to us that BT's 21CN network simply cannot cope with demand at present," the business ISP said in a forthright blog post. "We have clear evidence of a significant portion (around half) of BT 21CN lines that we have showing serious loss and latency problems within BT."
"The main problem is that during the day a lot of the 21CN is showing a lot of peak and minimum latency, which means it is very difficult for people to run their VoIP properly or to run their businesses," a spokesperson told PC Pro.
The problems are within BT
"The problems are within BT and so we cannot do much to work around them," the company said. "Where we get peaks in traffic (for example, during some of the major football matches) we have been able to prioritise VoIP and customers paying for premium lines - but this only helps on our link to BT.
