Juniper raiding Cisco and Microsoft executive ranks

Juniper is focusing on aggressively expanding its roster of software development partners to propogate its three JUNOS development platforms and broaden its reach into key growth markets, just as cloud computing and the mobile Internet.

Prior to Cisco, Tierney held channel marketing positions at 3Com, Hewlett Packard, Apple Computer and First Deposit Corp. She is a 20 year industry veteran and will report to Lauren Flaherty, Juniper executive vice president and chief marketing officer.

Juniper named Brad Brooks, former corporate vice president for Windows Consumer Marketing and Product Management at Microsoft, as vice president of worldwide enterprise marketing and solutions. Brooks will as well report to Flaherty, and he'll be responsible for developing and executing overall marketing strategies for the Juniper's enterprise business, including defining go-to-market plans for vertical and horizontal markets.

At Microsoft, Brooks led the consumer business for the Windows client, including the launch of Windows 7. Prior to Microsoft, Brooks held product management, business development, marketing and sales roles at Lucent Technologies and AT&T. He as well worked as an intelligence analyst for the U.S. government early in his career.
