Juniper Research Says Mobile VoIP Users Will Touch the 130 Million Mark by 2016

Mobile VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) specialists will now be expected to opt for tie-ups with social media, gaming as then as software partners. This will have to be done in the form of mobile network operator partnerships over the straightway few years. The main reason behind this, Juniper Technology concludes, is that social media are now moving into the mainstream all the more.

Juniper Innovation is anticipating that the voice based applications will in the near future become an extension of the broader communications market and become more widely available. Vivox are among the many companies that are now working on pioneering aspects of this service especially in the gaming field. As well Skype's takeover by Microsoft as so then as many Facebook tie-ups with VoIP providers will work at enhancing this trend. All of this is mentioned in the report 'Mobile Voice & Video Calling: Strategic Opportunities & Business Models 2011-2016'.

In a release, Anthony Cox of Juniper Innovation said, "In the end voice may become one of several options in an environment where multiple methods of communicating are possible on the same platform." The report notes, nevertheless, that circuit-switched research will continue to be important for the foreseeable future, particularly in less developed markets.

At the same time mVoIP customers that have been downloaded onto smart phones will represent around four fifths of 640 million mobile VoIP users. This figure is for the time period ending 2016 and will be because the momentum powering carrier alliances as then as mVoIP start-ups will come down. Better innovation, smarter interfaces also as awareness in terms of usage will lead to a higher dominance of the downloadable app model for mVoIP says Juniper Innovation.

Additionally, the innovation found that the number of people using mobile video calling will cross the 130 million mark by 2016. This will be because of the launch of several mobile video calling services by big players and an improvement in research. Developed markets will see an increase in Mobile VoIP as so then as mobile video calling services. These will be backed mainly by a larger roll out of 3G and 4G here enabling better mobile VoIP and mobile video calling. As such advertising potential is not anyway you look at it definable here since mobile VoIP is in the nascent stage right now.
