KasperskyLab launches new Internet security

Kolkata, Aug 06 : Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of internet threat management solutions,today launched the latest versions of its Anti-Virus and Internet Security systems to provide Internet users with maximum protection and convenience.

Claiming to provide a comprehensive protection,the all-new Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2012 had the most advanced and effective protection technologies.Speaking to newsmen here today at the All India launch programme Mr Jagannath Patnaik,Director Kaspersky Lab,India, here said the new dual systems had a sandbox for preventing suspicious applications through a programme activity monitoring module, a script emulator, a cloud-based database and a virtual keyboard just in case to many other features. He said the Kaspersky Lab,a two billion dollar company having its headquarters in Moscow and offices in 29 countries, uninterruptedly strives to improve the technologies in order to counter numerous and very complex computer threats that appeared nearly on daily basis. Explaininig the seriousness of the rapidly increasing global cyber threats,Mr Patnaik said as more and more people were useing internet,the new malware appeared at an in the extreme rapid rate these days--approximately 70,000 new malicious programmmes each day.He said although there were no signatures for these new threats Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2012 would be able to effectively neutralize the new threats using non-signature based behavioral analysis of suspicious programmes.In addition, Mr Patnaik said,by regularly exchanging information between products installed on user's machines and the centralized database in the cloud,the new system would make an instant decision on whether the same could be used or not. Asked about the business prospect of the new innovation Mr Patnaik said registering about 60 per cent year on year growth they had targetted for a revenue generation of Rs 100 crore in India alone by December 31 this year.He said while the past few years despite facing threats from pirated businesses of similar products, Kaspersely Lap did a business of over Rs 60 crore per annum.In terms of investment in the form of broadbasisng their sales network in India,Mr Patnaik said following the launch of the new product they were planning to invest about 2.5 million USD while the current year.
