
Keizer considers pact with Clear Wireless
The city and the company also had a disagreement earlier this year regarding voice-over-Internet services. Clear said earlier its services did not include this option; later it said it's a service it may sometimes include, Johnson said in his report.
The ordinance
Johnson addresses voice-over-Internet in the ordinance: "Grantee shall comply with all applicable City ordinances, resolutions, rules and regulations adopted or established pursuant to the City's lawful authority, including, but not limited to the lawful imposition of taxes, fees, charges or surcharges for or due to any type of voice services, provided or offered by Grantee, including Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services."
