
Luxoft Introduces World's First Android-Based OEM Software Platform for Automotive Infotainment
Luxoft, a leading global provider of advanced application and product development services, today announced that it has created the world's first Google Android-based original equipment manufacturers (OEM) software platform for automotive infotainment, LUXnet. The platform delivers a successful combination of social networking capabilities with navigation, multimedia and connectivity services, including dynamic points of interest (POIs) and voice over IP (VoIP).
LUXnet supports BeagleBoard-compatible hardware platforms, and works with a wide-range of interfaces, including CAN, HDMI, USB, SD cards, 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth. LUXnet is designed for in-car social networking and dynamic navigation use, and comes with integrated Facebook and Twitter capabilities. Its easy-to-use interface is designed with car ergonomics in mind. Additional LUXnet features include: Internet connectivity, support for downloadable applications, intelligent data caching and geocaching.
