11 May 2011 - TV presenter, MariellaFrostrup, is joining Digital Champion, Martha Lane Fox, in getting behind new national awards scheme, the Research4Good Awards. The creation of e-accessibility charity, AbilityNet, and sponsored by BT, the Research4Good Awards celebrate the achievements of organisations and individuals who use computers and the internet to make the world a better place.

New extended deadline

With a new extended deadline, nominations are now welcomed until 13 May from charities, businesses, schools, government and the public who have harnessed the power of research in innovative and diverse ways. Ms Frostrup will be official compère at the Awards Ceremony scheduled to take place at the BT Centre, London on 7 June 2011.
