Metaswitch Empowers Asia Pacific Networks

Metaswitch Networks, a global supplier of then and there generation telecom infrastructure and applications, today announced new customer wins in Australia and the Philippines, expanding its presence in the Asia Pacific region.

CallStream Communications, the new Australian telecommunications company recently formed by Telco Consolidators Group, will launch Metaswitch Hosted Business Services to small and medium-sized businesses across the country. The company plans to leverage Australia's commitment to become a world-leading digital economy by 2020 with the roll-out of the National Broadband Network.

The Philippines

Economic development is as well driving network evolution in the Philippines, where Metaswitch now has four clients in partnership with Pastels Inc. Newly added are General Telephone and Iriga Telephone, family-owned incumbent operators that started serving rural communities in the early 1970s. Both have announced plans to modernize their networks and will offer then and there generation services to their subscribers.
