MyNetFone to acquire Symbio Group

Symbio is expected to contribute some $24 million in earnings to MyNetFone's bottom line in the 2012 financial year. Some $26 million in revenue is expected in the 2013 financial year.

According to MyNetFone, Symbio has enjoyed success in the Australia and New Zealand and is seeking to grow in Singapore through its Symbio Wholesale operation. The company carries more than 1.5 billion minutes of VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) traffic annually.

Secure VoIP network environment

When adding network features to support a secure VoIP network environment, the challenge is to achieve balance of informed research choices with intelligent resource procurement and allocation. Chapter 2 identified several critical voice performance requirements-the most obvious being throughput, delay, and jitter.

Security of a wireless network on the whole ranks as one of the largest concerns of IT professionals planning to roll out an enterprise wireless LAN. Many people erroneously believe that a wireless LAN is inherently insecure. This is largely due to security flaws in early Wi-Fi protocols like WEP, more recent vulnerabilities found in TKIP and lack of awareness as to how to deploy a secure WLAN. This whitepaper will help the wireless network administrator or security manager to understand the security capabilities in a modern Wi-Fi solution, where they should be used and how the WLAN integrates with other security devices in the network.
