The Manatee Glens Board of Directors announces the election of its officers for the 2010-2011 fiscal year. Michael Corley, business consultant, has been elected chairman of the board. Also elected to office are vice-president Steve Prouty, attorney with Porges, Hamlin, Knowles & Prouty; secretary Linda A. O’Brien, vice president with Mike Carter Inc.; and treasurer James F. Alderman, certified public accountant with Rehfeldt Group. Board members elected to serve three-year terms include: Paul M. Duck, chief executive officer with Coastal Orthopedics and Tim McGonegal, superintendent with Manatee County Schools.

Local public relations and communications consultant Mary Catherine Coolidge was part of the design and content development team that won first place in the 2010 National Communications Awards program of the Society for Marketing Professional Services. The award was given in July to EYP Architecture & Engineering, a New York-based firm, in the internal communications category for the company’s employee Intranet site.
