I will be working with the team to focus on our business priorities for the next five years, which include developing our four main product and service areas of business broadband and internet connections, web and server hosting, telecoms including VoIP and, IT and information security, as well as further developing a line of business continuity and risk management products. We also want to strengthen our presence and service delivery capabilities across the whole of the UK to better support our client needs."

Maitland, a recognised author and authority on security and business continuity, held previous roles as Chief Operating Officer at Onyx IT and prior to that head of knowledge, information and ICT at regional development agency One NorthEast.

Internet Central is part of Goodwin PLC and chairman John Goodwin commented: "These are exciting times for Internet Central. Maitland brings to the company a vibrant approach and a raft of new ideas.
