New Mobile FEA App NEi Stratus Unveiled

The new NEi Stratus is a FEA mobile application that utilizes mobile and cloud computing technologies to provide engineers with on-demand Nastran-based analysis.

NEi’s Nastran is a general-purpose FEA tool used to analyze the stress of structures and mechanical elements. This finite element solver comes with an integrated graphical user interface and a model editor used to analyze linear and nonlinear stress, dynamics, and heat transfer characteristics of structures and mechanical elements. It is currently available on a wide variety of platforms including 32-bit and 64-bit Windows and Linux operating systems.

Powered by NEi Nastran Cloud, the new NEi Stratus mobile solution helps finite element analysts to perform basic analysis and view results on their mobile devices just as Apple iPhone and iPad, anywhere and anytime.

According to NEi, the integration of cloud innovation with the power of Nastran will provide a huge potential. The company believes that initial exploration into the combination will furthermore enable for more complex analysis, as the research matures.
