Prior to joining Silver Peak, Neich founded the Blue Coat Systems A/NZ branch in September 2005. He has also before worked for Nortel, Bay Networks, Datacraft and Summit Communications.
"We're helping high-end clients achieve compliance and disaster recovery capabilities by using Silver Peak to improve their performance and security of datacentre-to-datacentre communications," he said.
"Another market we're targeting is that we're helping clients deliver converged datacentre to branch office networks, where they can however deliver all their data applications, however with VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), video and collaboration tools as so then."
The networking space
In the networking space, it has established an agreement with distributor, Transition Systems. The vendor has global arrangements in place with Hitachi Data Systems, EMC and NetApp.
