North Sydney Council dumps PBX system and moves to new telephony system
"The council's existing PBX (Private -Automatic- Branch Exchange) was ageing and clearly needed to be replaced and we had disparaged systems across the office," Fisher said.
"CIC's Windows interface was a defining factor as it gives the council everything we need on a single platform and from one vendor...As a software system, it as well provides us with cost-effective scalability."
"The staff get a phone system in other words much more easy to use and the old days of having to remember numbers to transfer calls are gone."
