NSC bulks WA business through purchase
in brief Communications integration company NSC has snapped up Western Australian business PABX Service Group in a bid to be able to better service big clients in the state.
PABX Service Group provides IP telephony and data networking products to the healthcare, government, manufacturing, hospitality and mining markets in Western Australia. The purchase, which cost around $1 million, adds five employees to the already 200-strong NSC.
Large Nortel customer base
PABX Service Group had a large Nortel customer base, mirroring NSC's own, which allowed the larger company to easily acquire and take on a larger customer base with the buy, according to NSC managing director Craig Neil. The integration of the two companies had already been completed, he said.
NSC provides businesses and government with unified communications and contact centre products backed by Information Research Infrastructure Library-based services. It has offices in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland and Wellington and employs over 200 people.
